Job Description

ITSM/ServiceNow Consultant – 50 Euros an Hour – Munich/Germany

Role: ITSM/ServiceNow Consultant

Location: Munich, Germany

Duration: until 30th September 2018 – option to extend

Start: ASAP

Workload: 75%-100% (15-20 days/month)

Remote or Onsite: 15-20 days/month onsite

Max rate payable: EUR 50,–/hour (max)

Level: at least 3 years

Contract Type: Freelance

Other: Candidates must be eligible to work as a freelancer in Germany with all the necessary permits/documentation/visas.

Role Description:
The Consultant Provides technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams. He is responsible for providing technical support and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customers” business needs and consequently, for understanding customers” businesses. The role requires that the employee is able to maintain knowledge of leading edge technologies and industry/market domain knowledge.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
Participate in the development of business requirements ensuring a thorough understanding of business needs and processes
Conceptualize, design, code, and test ServiceNow solutions that deliver new system capabilities, system enhancements, or resolves defects
Standard ITSM development/support including incident, problem, change, requests (service catalog), release management, and knowledge management
Design and develop Enterprise Service Management solutions using ServiceNow
Develop content management for ServiceNow solutions
Participate in Agile development methodologies
Support & maintain applications by proactively resolving issues and enhance application stability
Assist with product roadmap & business capabilities that align with the application
Continuously monitor application performance and vendor recommended patches & upgrades
Collaborate with team members to improve the quality and scalability of supported systems and provide recommendations
Partner with the business on exploring new opportunities to add value through the use of technology.

Searched profile/skills:
Previous ServiceNow development, configuration and administration experience in an enterprise environment
Must have experience developing custom ServiceNow applications
Integration (interfacing) of enterprise software systems with ServiceNow
Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow components such as Service Catalog, Change/Incident/Problem Management, Asset Management, CMDB, Knowledge, Release Management, etc.
Experience working in and managing multiple update sets and coordinating their promotion throughout multiple instances
Excellent knowledge of ServiceNow Best Practices and ongoing knowledge of latest ServiceNow features
Experience with content management and familiarity with UI side of ServiceNow preferred
Participation in the full software development life cycle: Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing and promotion into Production
Knowledge of system design and development used within Service Oriented architecture and web services integration (SOAP, WSDL, JAXWS)
Strong knowledge of Web 2.0 Technologies (Java Scripting, XML, HTML, AJAX, Jelly, CSS, PERL scripting, etc.), PowerShell
