Job Description:

Business Development Manager � Microsoft / Business Intelligence:

The priority for this position is to discover, and develop partners for my client that will deliver revenue and profit on key products in the Microsoft product stack.

Experience

? Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, CALs, Azure, Sharepoint
? Knowledge and the ability to articulate the value proposition of Microsoft Business Intelligence and/or complex multi-vendor solutions
? Primary or secondary experience of selling to ISVs/resellers business intelligence hardware/software
? Understanding of competitive landscape
? Knowledge of Microsoft channel partner ecosystem

Purpose

? To create and drive UK growth in Microsoft Business Unit revenues and profit on Microsoft SQL server
? Develop new Micosoft practices around SQL Server
? Drive and sustain new practices into and through general and specialist Sales teams
? To promote and educate my client�s customer base on the their Business Intelligence value proposition (which includes multi-vendor solutions and services) - helping customers to accelerate their business.
? Assist partners to complete silver/gold Microsoft relevant competencies using existing resources wisely

Main Duties :

? Create an overall business plan for these technologies; including targeted account plan for dissemination to Internal Account Management, Microsoft team manager and the Sales Director.
? Liaise with 5-6 prospect partners per week
? Work closely with Microsoft pre-sales specialists
? To be present at Bracknell one day a week to accomplish the following; Team meeting, forecasting of pipeline, training, and networking internally.
? Provide weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting to Microsoft as required .
? Input pipeline into Microsoft PSX tool
? Use data analysis to determine go to partner list and set up appropriate meetings with targeted personnel
? Develop readiness plans per focus partner to drive the core training offerings and ensure optimal attendance in events
? Accelerate customer business through utilisation of multi vendor solutions and reseller partner services.
? Form relationships with Senior Management and Director level contacts at the customer.
? To attend training sessions on Microsoft value propositions and tools, to be prepared to deliver back to the customer.
? Engage with and develop strong networks with my client�s Pre Sales personnel, Business Development Managers, and Professional Services personnel.
? Execute marketing activity with strategic partners in conjunction with marketing manager.
? Utilise CRM systems fully to engage with Account Managers and provide forecasts.
? Extensive travel will be required across the UK.
