Job Description:
SQL BI Consultant required by award winning Thames Valley (Hants/Berks) based client. This is a very unique opportunity as you will play a key part in establishing the company�s SQL BI practice, performing pre-sales demonstrations, preparing bids and estimates, performing development and delivery of solutions and structuring the company�s speciality. You must have a solid background in IT domain focused on delivering Business Intelligence analysis and solutions with a Microsoft product set focus. Ability to code and optimise queries using T - SQL( 2008 /2010 / 2012), MDX, DMX and XMLA. In depth knowledge of BI stack (SSIS 2008, SSRS 2008, SSAS 2008). Extract Transform Load (ETL) development using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS 2008). Dimensional Data Modelling and Cube development in SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS 2008). Reporting skills using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS 2008). Build SSRS 2008 reports using MDX and DMX queries. Experience of using star and snow flake modelling techniques to define dimensions and facts. ETLm guidelines to ensure manageable ETL infrastructure. Experience of implementing SCD. Performance Point Services for SharePoint 2010. Power pivot and building reports with Excel. Cube performance and usage.
